Blop is a young mining robot on his first mission. Sent to a planet at the far end of the solar system, Blop must explore an ancient abandoned mining complex built by a long-extinct civilization. A quick survey reveals to Blop that the complex holds a vast amount of natural resources that can be extracted, making it an ideal location for mining. But a series of strange noises makes Blop think he is not alone in the mines...

The complex consists of 15 different mines, and Blop must collect as many natural resources as possible, in the form of blue gems, before reaching the mine's exit. The exit door will remain locked until all resources are collected.

Each mine is protected by a guardian, which is also capable of collecting resources to safeguard them. Blop must avoid encountering the guardian at all costs, or he will be reduced to a pile of scrap metal.

Some gems will emit a powerful energy wave when collected, which will affect the complex's lighting, turning the lights on or off. This can be useful to Blop, as some of the mine walls contain a special, more fragile type of rock that glows in the dark, allowing him to easily spot new routes or secret passages. However, Blop can easily get lost in the dark, so he must be careful with the lights off.
